I want to wish all of my studio families a HAPPY HOLIDAYS, a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and a BLESSED NEW YEAR! May your holiday be joyous, full of happy memories and great music! Parents, thank you so much for partnering with me this past term to nurture a love for music in each of my students. Students, you ROCKED it!!! I love each one of you so much and you are making me so proud. And thank you again for all of your support while I recover my hip!
Christmas Piano Recital 2023!
I’m so excited for my students to share what they have been working so hard on over the past few months! We will be working on performance techniques in studio in the next few weeks.
When: Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023 at 3:30 pm
Where: St. Thomas Anglican Church, Sherwood Park
If you haven’t RSVP’d yet, please do! Doors open at 3:15. Parking in the lot is free. There will be some coffee and refreshments served after the recital.
I will be collecting donations for the Child Life Department at the Stollery at the recital! Please see below graphic for their wishlist and an amazon link to help if you are able to give. Thank you!
Students, to prepare for the recital, I will be sending a RECITAL PRACTICE BINGO sheet home this coming week. Try performing your recital piece for as many people as you can before Dec. 19/20 and bring it back for a treat!

Performance Tips:
Set your book (if you’re using one) on the piano, adjust the bench to the proper place and have a seat!
Take a breath, let it out, think about how the first few measures go. (a good tempo).
Play your piece! Do your best!
* if you make a mistake! Don’t worry!!! Just take a breath, find your place and keep playing!
At the end, hold the last note for its full value. Lift your hands up at the same time.
BOW and smile! YOU DID IT!!!!
