"Snowflakes that Stay on my Nose and Eyelashes...."

In my opinion WINTER redeems itself in some part when those pretty snowflakes start falling from the sky…you know those days when you can go outside and catch one on your sleeve and ACTUALLY see the individual spindles of each snowflake? The beauty of the originality of each crystal never ceases to amaze me. Similarly, the #teachernerd in me LOVES the fact that each of my students requires something different from me; a new approach, a new twist, a new technique…I love the unique puzzle that is each student! Thank you again for entrusting me to this musical aspect of you or your child’s development!

10 Wunderful Weeks of Practice” has been a great success! Every student received a weekly bookmark with which to track their practice sessions. The GOAL is to practice AT LEAST 5 DAYS A WEEK ending at Christmas Break and to subsequently achieve 50 days of practice or more. Students who achieve the goal will receive a prize and the student who has the most days will receive another prize as well. :) Winners will be announced in a week!

What an amazing time of community-building we had at our Christmas Recital this past Sunday! I’m very thankful to have been able to share our performance time with Kim Sieben’s Studio and it was such a blessing to hear the songs that her students played. Bravo! I’m so incredibly proud of the hard work that all of the students put in to prepare for this concert and the courage they had to battle the “performance butterflies”! Your music was such a GIFT! I had many family members and senior residents come up to me afterwards and tell me how much they enjoyed the “musical buffet”! Congratulations to all our performers and a big thank you to our audience members for your support!!

I want to wish all of my studio families a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and a BLESSED NEW YEAR! May your holiday be JOY-FILLED and full of music, laughter and together-times! Thank you so much for partnering with me this past term to nurture a love for music in each of my students. A huge thank you as well to everyone who has recommended me to friends and family - my studio is growing by leaps and bounds!!
