Welcome to the new school year (almost:P))! Yes, our summer break is still not quite over but planning to a return to a more structured schedule in September is in full swing. I had a wonderful summer full of sun, travel, family, friends and fun: we were able to spend just over two weeks in the Rocky Mountains (Jasper, Banff and Canmore), saw many amazing animals at the Calgary Zoo (Avery's favourite animal was the giraffe - of course :P), were entertained by street performers, took a ride on the High level street car and spent lots of time just hanging around our neighbourhood, going for bike rides, visiting playgrounds and playing in the backyard.
I am very excited for the opportunity to teach piano lessons again and for what this new year will bring in terms of building relationships and learning. Last year many students had the change to try some composing with our "Mysterious Case of Muttzart and Ratmaninoff" project. This year students will have the opportunity to try more new games while at their lesson and I have more exciting projects to come as well! I have a few new students this year as well as many returning ones – I’m so looking forward to seeing both!
I'll be sending out schedules for September to December lessons very soon. The January to June schedule will be sent out in December. Keep an eye on your inbox!
Also, for returning students, your piano "Summer Quest" will be due at your first lesson so be sure to bring it along with you - all filled out with parents' initials to confirm completion. It was optional but if you DID complete the "Quest" you will be eligible for a prize from the treasure chest!
