FEBRUARY PRACTICE TRACKER CHALLENGE!
For those of you wanting to participate, I’ll be sending out this resource to track your practice for the month of February. Colour in 3 squares each time you practice. Bring the sheet to me at the end of February for a prize! (effort will be rewarded)
Practice Kits I’ve been following Nicola Cantan for years now (“Colourful Keys” blog), and she inspired me to make practice kits for all of my students! If you haven’t already, have a peek inside and look through the instruction page for games and activities to make home practice less mundane!
NEW RESOURCES!!! —> I’m excited for these new supplementary songbooks to accompany the WK Primers! A-J so far!
Preschool Lessons I’m so grateful to also be able to offer lessons for children 3-5 years old! The preschool Wunderbies (Thumbelina, Pointer Panda, Middleton Mouse, Ringo Racoon and Pinky Pig) dance their way through many adventures each class and we learn so much as we go! So many games and activities to extend our brains with musical and math skills and improve our finger dexterity.
My studio continues to grow!………A BIG WELCOME TO AUBREE!!!!! So excited to start lessons with this little gem! She’s got a passion for music and I’m excited to have her and her fam jam in my studio family! Thank you to all of you for your continued support and references!
Practicing Tip of the Month: Be Consistent With Fingering!
As soon as you start learning a new piece, find the best fingering that works for you stick with it. One of the most unproductive ways to practice is to practice something differently each time! When you ignore the proper fingering and you spend valuable time practicing your music incorrectly, you’ll just have to spend more time going back and learning it the correct way! It may take more patience from the start, but take it slow and be wary of the fingering from the start! ;)
